Every sector of the agricultural industry is under pressure to make timely and informed decisions based on current crop information. Geospatial information will play an ever increasing role in the future of agricultural management, and RapidEye is uniquely positioned to help their agricultural customers respond quickly and accurately.
Our satellites are the first commercial satellites to include the Red-Edge band, which is sensitive to changes in chlorophyll content. More research will be necessary to realize the full potential of the Red-Edge band, however, this band can assist in monitoring vegetation health, improve species separation and help in measuring protein and nitrogen content in biomass.
RapidEye's diverse team of experts consisting of agronomists, scientists, and remote sensing specialists has the expertise necessary to help agricultural customers get the most out of the most recent geospatial information of their area. They are also committed to ensuring each customer receives the right knowledge necessary to make the most informed decision every time.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss what RapidEye can do for you, please email sales@rapideye.net .
